Computer records
Your computer saves
a record of each website you visit. It is usually possible to
delete these records. We give some instructions below to help
you - if you feel some of the information here is incorrect,
please
let us know. If possible, tell us what is wrong and how to
fix it.
If you are using Internet
Explorer:
Click on the
Tools menu, then on Internet Options.
Click on the Delete Cookies button and the Delete Files button
(click ok when it asks you)
Click on the Settings button
Click on the View Files button
If any files show, click
on the Edit menu then click Select All
Hold down SHIFT and click the DELETE key to permanently
delete the files without using the recycle bin
Close the 'temporary internet files' window, then click ok
Click on the Clear History button
(click
ok when it asks you)
Hold down the CTRL (control) key and click H to see the history
window
If you see a heading called Today, right-click on it and click
Delete
Hold down CTRL and click H again to close the history window
Close Internet Explorer
If you are using Netscape:
On the Edit
menu, click on Preferences
In the new window that opens, double click on Navigator, then click
on History
Click the Clear History button and the Clear Location
Bar button
Now, on the lefthand panel, double-click Advanced
Click Cache
Click the Clear Memory Cache buttonand
the Clear
Disk Cache button
Click OK
Close Netscape
If you are using a
Macintosh computer:
On the Edit
menu, click on Preferences
Double click on Navigator on the left
Click on the Expire Now button
Click OK
Click OK again to save the changes
