Information for Agencies
The Task Group was set up in 1997 as a forum to promote joint
working amongst statutory and voluntary agencies in Cambridge
and the local area to assist victims of domestic violence. The
current membership includes a wide range of representatives and
individuals. The aims of the Task Group are to co-ordinate a
pro-active response to domestic violence and to carry out specific
pieces of work. Latest report
of the task group.
Membership includes health visitors, midwives, judges, solicitors,
social workers and housing officers, as well as representatives
of statutory and voluntary agencies such as Women's Aid, Victim
and Witness Support, Relate, the Police, Office of Children and
Young Peoples Service, City Councils, and the County Council.

Domestic Violence Training and
Awareness
One of the Key Objectives
of the Forum is to:
Initiate the development,
production, and delivery of awareness raising, and multi-agency
training and educational programmes.
Each year the Forum holds
a FREE Domestic Violence Training and
Awareness Day open to people working in the statutory, voluntary,
community and independent sectors. The 2006 event was held at
Girton College on Tuesday, November 28. These events are designed
to be informative and give front-line staff more confidence to
handle DV
issues. The following links provide more information on previous
events. Also in the links below you can find an Evaluation of
